How to setup your Festive out of office - Auto Attendant

Its coming up to that time of year again, and to be prepared we have worked out a quick and easy way for you to have your out of office ready to go, so when you're rushing out the door for your festive holidays, you're all set with a couple clicks of a button!

First, you need to nominate someone who will receive the voicemails received over the holiday period, once you have picked who that will be you can navigate to your portal

Click on Auto Attendant

And then click on Add Auto Attendant

You can then name the auto attendant with a name that suits your needs, then once this appears in the auto attendant list, you can click on the drop down for additional options

Here you can add your introduction message

Once this is created, you can then navigate to a number of your choice, for this example we have chosen 0

Here you pick your chosen person to receive voicemails and edit the text you want your caller to hear when given the option to leave a VM

Remember to toggle on the Active button or this option will not work

Your Festive out of office is now all setup!

You just need to move your mainline number over to your Festive line when you are ready to, and make sure your designated user has logged out of Devyce so they're not bothered over their festive holidays and receive all the voicemails left during that time period.

You can assign your mainline number to your Festive line very easily by navigating to the 'number' option in the portal

Search for your mainline number, and unassign

And then with the number still in the search bar, click assign and choose the festive line and you're all done!

Just make sure you put the mainline number back to your standard mainline once you return after enjoying your holiday!

We recommend adding it as a calendar reminder for when you're back, and then your festive line is ready to be edited and reused for next year!
