My UK number is showing as spam

Last updated: August 19, 2026

If your UK number is being displayed as Spam or Potential Spam when you make calls, this does not necessarily mean your number is actually being reported as spam.

Mobile carriers and caller-ID providers use a range of signals to determine whether an incoming call may be unwanted or suspicious. As a result, legitimate business calls can sometimes be incorrectly labelled as spam.

What can I do if my number is showing as spam?

Devyce completes the relevant checks to help prevent legitimate numbers from being incorrectly identified as spam. However, spam labelling is ultimately controlled by the end user providers, so we cannot guarantee that a number will never be flagged.

If your number is still being displayed as spam, we recommend registering your number with Hiya, a caller-identification service used by mobile networks and devices to help identify legitimate businesses and unwanted calls.

Register your number with Hiya

  1. Visit the Hiya Registration page

  2. Create a free Hiya account and add your company details

  1. Once your account has been verified, you can add your phone numbers

  2. Register the numbers you are using to make calls

  3. Hiya will then add the numbers to its network

Registering your numbers with Hiya can help provide additional information about your business to supported caller-ID services and may reduce the likelihood of your legitimate calls being incorrectly labelled as spam.

Important

Spam labels are controlled by the mobile network and caller ID provider, so registering your number with Hiya won’t guarantee that the spam label will be removed everywhere. However, it can help if your genuine business calls are being flagged as spam.

If your number is still showing as spam after registering with Hiya, contact Devyce Support and let us know which network or device is showing the warning.
