Moving to Devyce? How to Port Your UK Numbers Over
Last updated: August 10, 2026
If you are moving to Devyce and would like to keep your existing UK phone numbers, you can transfer them to your Devyce account. This guide explains the information and steps required to complete the porting process.
What Is Number Porting?
Number porting is the process of transferring your existing phone number from your current provider to Devyce, allowing you to keep the same number when you move to our service.
What Information Do I Need?
Before submitting your porting request, you'll need to obtain the following information from your current provider for each number you want to port:
Underlying carrier – The carrier currently hosting your number. For example Stour, Twilio, Gamma or another carrier.
Registered address – The address currently registered against the number with the underlying carrier.
Single or multi-line – Single or multi-line – Please confirm whether the number is part of a single-line or multi-line setup.
Main Billing Number (MBN) and associated number range – Required for numbers that are part of a multi-line setup.
Important: If your number is part of a multi-line setup, the full number range must be ported
If you are having difficulty obtaining any of the information requested above, we may be able to submit a POV request on your behalf.
Please note that this will add additional time to the porting process and may take up to 15 working days.
If you would like us to explore this option, please contact our Support Team and let us know that you would like to proceed with a POV request. We can then advise you on the next steps.
Porting a Mobile Number?
If you are moving a mobile number to Devyce, you will need a PAC ( Porting Authorisation Code)
What it is: A unique 9-character code issued by your current mobile provider that authorises the transfer of your mobile number.
How to get it: Text PAC to 65075 from the mobile number you want to port or contact your current mobile provider if you have a virtual number.
How Long Does It Take?
Once you submit the form and have completed the UK LOA form here is the general timeline for your numbers to go live on Devyce:
Number type | Typical timeframe |
Mobile number | 1 working day |
UK landline – single line | 10 working days |
UK landline – multi-line | 15 working days |
These timeframes are estimates and can vary depending on the information provided. If additional information is required or a rejection is received, this may extend the porting timeframe.
Avoiding Delays and Rejections
To help your porting request go through as quickly as possible, please make sure the information on your LOA exactly matches the details held by your current provider.
Common reasons for rejection include:
Incorrect registered address
Incorrect underlying carrier
Missing numbers from a multi-line range
Missing or incorrect authorisation details
Incorrect / Invalid PAC ( UK Mobile number ONLY)
Ready to Port Your Number?
Once you have gathered the above information, use it to complete the UK Porting Form and UK Letter of Authorisation (LOA) and then send them back to us so we can process your request.
